Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) is a private university that is located in the heart of Benghazi city; the second biggest city in Libya. LIMU has been established in the year 2007 by a decree that was reached by the Ministry of Higher Education in Libya. The Libyan International Medical University obtained a classification of initial approval by the National Center for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education institutions. LIMU faculties include; Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Basic Medical Science, Information Technology and Business Administration. LIMU is considered unique in terms of being the first and only university in Libya to adopt new disciplines as for the Basic Medical Science, PharmD, Health Informatics, Hospital Administration and Health Accounting programs. Graduates of such disciplines are expected to improve and support the health system in Libya.
