Defining the national priorities of higher education

The National Erasmus+ Office in Libya is working on developing programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the role of the strategic plans in projects development and setting goals aimed at making a positive change at the level of performance of ministries in the field of Higher Education and Vocational and Technical education VET and youth.
Today’s meeting was with the Mediterranean Universities Union UNIMED represented by Mr. Marcello. During the meeting, number of issues and initiatives has been discussed which is the National Erasmus+ Office in Libya is currently working on. However, one of these important points that were discussed is an initiative to develop an internationalization strategy in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Technical Education VET and the Ministry of Youth, as well as work to strengthen the role of universities in paying attention to the issues of environmental preservation and Digitalization.
Finally, the increased participation of Libyan universities and technical colleges in international academic mobility programs such as ICM KA107 action was also discussed.

It was agreed to support the action to develop these initiatives in the near future and contribute to defining the national priorities of higher education, technical education, and the youth sector in Libya, which is one of the most prominent issues that the National Erasmus+ Office pays great attention to.
